A beautiful new care home, with the furnishings being the standard of a 5* hotel while being relevant to the needs of its elderly residents. Well laid out, beautiful gardens and great food all add to many reasons for choosing this home. Many thanks to Josie who was so helpful in showing us round and answering our many questions!

We are really happy with the home. It’s like a family, everyone is so friendly. My father enjoys the food and activities. All the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble to do. It takes so much worry off us knowing he’s safe and looked after.

Life at Squires Mews care home

Squires Mews Care Home is a large care home, with room for 59 residents. Within that, we have 4 companion suites, to accommodate those who would benefit from sharing their space. The team here makes it their mission to go above and beyond for those staying with them, making sure that the activities benefit their physical health, memories and sensory needs. There’s a beautiful garden to spend time in, as well as comfortable lounges and a cinema room. Something our team takes very seriously is mealtimes; we have a dedicated catering team who are trained to accommodate a range of dietary needs and appetites, without compromising on nutrition. Family and friends can book to join us at mealtimes, often making them a social affair!

Hi, I’m Heidi Smith, Home Manager of Squires Mews Care Home

Over the last 29 years I have worked with Nursing, Dementia and Residential residents in care settings. I have achieved my Qualifications in NVQ 2 & 3 in Health & Social Care, QCF 5 in management and leadership in adult care and also my qualification Advance care practitioner. Outside of work I am a very family oriented person and enjoy spending all my spare time with my children and granddaughter.
