CQC Report Highlights Success at Seagrave House Care Home

Seagrave House Care Home is celebrating after receiving a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Inspectors visited the luxury care home in Corby in January, where the care home has achieved a ‘Good’ rating across all five CQC assessment criteria overall: safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led.

This recognition reflects significant improvements in the quality of care, staff training, and resident satisfaction at the home. The CQC report praised Seagrave House care home for its focus on the high competency of the staff, addressing individual preferences to meet residents’ specific needs and promoting dignity and independence.

Relatives at the care home expressed their satisfaction, with one stating, “We have found that the level of care they provide is excellent and constantly adapting as (Name) dementia becomes more demanding.” Another relative added, “The home manager and her team have been amazing with my family, they have helped us through our highs and lows. The support and care that my dad receives daily is amazing.”

People told us they liked the staff who supported them and felt their needs and preferences were understood and respected. Families of residents echoed this sentiment, with one relative commenting,“Seagrave house is very welcoming, staff are always helpful and attentive. I have witnessed compassionate and dignified care being provided to the residents.”

The CQC recognised the ongoing staff training at Seagrave House Care Home, ensuring that the team remains well-equipped to provide high-quality, responsive care, and the management was praised for its commitment to enhancing safety and service delivery standards, consistently striving for improvement and excellence.
