The Artisan Care Homes team are incredibly proud of Hannah, a Senior Carer at Middleton Lodge, who has completed a 15,000ft skydive to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
Hannah has seen first hand the impact that Alzheimer’s can have, through her work with us at Middleton Lodge Care Home. With the number of people expected to be living with the condition by 2025 exceeding a million, she wanted to do something to increase awareness and support the life-saving research that Alzheimer’s Society champions.
‘I love my job and feel proud that I make a difference to someone’s life everyday. Alzheimer’s is a very hard conversation to have with some people and is often not understood , I am choosing to raise money for Alzheimer’s not only because it’s close to my heart but also because often people don’t always know about this unless a loved one is affected’
Hannah went to Langar airfield, and was the first to complete her jump over the May bank holiday weekend. She has raised a fantastic £450 for her chosen charity, and has even been on Radio Derby to talk about her experience.
The Middleton Lodge residents, family and coworkers have rallied around Hannah whilst she raised money, showing just how strong and supportive the community they have created is.
