All the rooms are fully furnished, so although you can bring furniture pieces, you aren’t likely to need them. We encourage you to bring as many photographs and personal items as you like. If you have a pet, you may be able to bring them with you – just discuss it with the care home manager.

Every Artisan Care Home has companion suites, so those who want to share with a loved one can have adjoining rooms. These can either both be bedrooms, or a private lounge space for the two residents.
Our team create menus that will cater to your dietary requirements, including cutlery-free meals if they are needed. If you do not like the menu of the day, alternatives are always available to suit your tasteI
Our team is used to moving quickly when needed. We can assess and admit the next day if we have a suitable room available. If we don’t, we’ll be able to recommend a course of action.
We don’t do long-term contracts. If you’d like to move out, we ask for just one month’s notice. If you’ve only been with us for a short term, we may be able to arraged a shorter notice at the Home Manager’s discretion
We do not keep rooms in reserve specifically for respite stays. Therefore, the best course of action is to call our team as soon as you know when you will need respite, and we can discuss pre-booking. We will need to complete an assessment within 14 days of the planned admission, to ensure that we are able to accommodate all the needs of the resident.
As long as there is availability, we are able to extend a respite stay. Just speak with your home manager to find out if we have enough space.
Personal care covers a wide range of assistance. This can be help with dressing, washing, eating, assisting to other areas of the home and medication.
We work closely with local GP practices to ensure all medical requirements are taken care of. If a hospital visit is required, these will be catered for, working in conjunction with the resident’s family.
Smoking is permitted at our care homes within the designated smoking areas located in the grounds.
